Host additional description

Dear Team,

We need host detail information in nagios tool, As it is giving enough information but we need some more information to get the exact information of the host. like RACK owner, System owner, Builing name, floor, compartment etc.

Please if it is already available in nagiosxi please let us know how we can add this type of information with any host.

If it is already available, how we can get this information in our notification.

A bit abstract, but I can see what you are getting at, why not use the Notes Component and add this information in? Navigate to Host Detail > (host name) > Notes Tab, if it is not there, you will want to upload it via Admin > Manage Components:

The notes component is very nice, but would be even better if we could put links in it to external documentation, I made a feature request for this some time ago. http://tracker.nagios.com/view.php?id=552

Thank you very much, we have checked this option is there, but we need this notes (which is descript for perticular host) in our notification message.

is it possible.

we have around 300 hosts. in this we want notification and it should contain notes information which we have mentioned for particular host/service

You can probably use custom host or service notification macros and customize the notification messages. For more info, please, review the following document:
