NCPA status Uknown

Post by ITFCTECH »

Hello support

System : CentOS release 5.11 (Final) on VMware ESXI
Nagios XI version: Nagios XI 2014R1.5

just trying out NCPA

installed ok and communication ok

When viewing in XI we see status Unknown as well as network in/out figures confusing
it says M/s should this not be showing in KB/s or mbit/s
On NCPA web page it states network figures as KK/s is there a way to change this to standard denominations

What is the version of the NCPA agent that you installed on the remote box? Does the status change from "Unknown" to a different state if you schedule a forced immediate check? There may be a bug with the Inbound/Outbound Bandwidth checks. We will need to do some more digging into this.

it was the latest version 1.7.2 (rpm) for a centos 6.5 server

force check does not change anything

The whole network thing is really odd

Same thing actually happens on a windows 2008 R2 box with agent installed

It would be easier to troubleshoot the issue if we could move it to the email support. Could you send your profile (Admin->System Profile->Download Profile) and the "/usr/local/ncpa/var/ncpa_listener.log" from the Linux client to [email protected]?
