All Action text replaced by "Search for a service on Google"

Post by WillemDH »

Hello,

Since I updated the actions component, all the action texts are replaced by "Search for a service on Google". The actual texts do not seem replaced though.. it's only in the actions componenet settings, this seems to be set...

Grtz

Re: All Action text replaced by "Search for a service on Goo

Hello,

It seems even after replacing all action texts and Saving, the actions texts are updated, but the action texts are replaced again by "Search for a service on Google"....

This is quite annoying, as we use the actions component a lot.

Thanks for any advice how to solve this.

Grtz

What version of XI and the component are you running? I'm assuming the latest, but gotta make sure.

Actually I'm seeing this on mine too. I noticed that if you change from URL to Command or vice-versa it replaces the text, so I think this has to do with setting the defaults based on the dropdown instead of what's in the DB. I'll file a bug for this and see if I can come up with a temporary fix. Can't guarantee I'll be able to but I'll give it a shot.

Yes it indeed replaces what's in the db, but the problem is that I have 30+ actions, so me (or an unknowing colleague) can't hit save or everything is replaced by search this host on Google...

Bug report ID4149 has been filed. I bumped the priority up a bit and will talk to the devs to see if we can get a fix for this quickly. Bear in mind we are right on the edge of leaving the office for the conference, so I don't know when they will have a chance to take a look at things.

Doctor's orders: Take .zip file and apply directly to server one (1) time for immediate relief.

No problems Trevor,

I'll wait for the conference to pass for a solution for this issue.

Have a good time over there!

Actually if you check my last post we had a solution set up before we left the office.
