We are using the NCPA agent on Windows 2008 R2 and we are finding that the NCPA services are not automatically starting after a server reboot. They get stuck in the starting state and in order to get them started we need to kill the processes and start the services again manually.
Anyone else have this problem and are there any known fixes?
NCPA 1.7.2
Thanks,
NCPA Not auto starting
Re: NCPA Not auto starting
Did you look in the "ncpa_listener.log" for clues? Was this a "clean" install of the latest NCPA agent? Other words, did you have an older version of the agent, previously installed on the Windows server?
You could try setting your two NCPA services to "(Automatic) Delayed Start"? This will allow all other automatic services to start, then start these two shortly after them. This might solve the issue if you are running into conflicts with other starting services, or a service that is required for NCPA's had not started yet.
