Mail Server Settings Working Incorrectly

In 2011R1.3, I have the mail server settings set to send from: [email protected] and to use a particular relay server via SMTP. When I test the settings, the email gets sent to the server as configured. However, when an alert generates an email, the message is delivered directly, and not via the relay server, and the FROM is [email protected].

Are you using the xi_host_notification_handler and xi_service_notification_handler for your contacts? You'll want to use these notification handlers for your contacts in order for your settings to reflect what is in the XI interface.

Ah....ok. I tried that, and it didn't seem to send out any email....however, that would not have worked for what I was trying to do. So, I just added a DS record to the sendmail.cf file and took care of it that way. This can be closed.....but I am about to open another
