IE8 on Wyse terminal

Post by BanditBBS »

Have a customer trying to display the nice pretty dashboard I created for them on a Wyse terminal. It only has IE8 and none of the graphs are showing and some of the status info dashlets(box's dashlet) are not showing. What are the pre-requisites so that graphs work in IE? Or is this a bug with IE8 and I am going to have to tell them tough?(which I really really don't want to do)

I'm pretty sure I've seen this issue before. If the Wyse terminal is running in a locked down mode, the jQuery libraries are not being updated on the client.

To solve the issue I needed to:
  • Enable write mode (can't remember if it was enable or disable, whatever one allows writing to the local flash)
    reboot the box
open IE and browse to XI
graphs and dashlets should now display
    Disable write mode
    reboot
I can't remember if the administrator needed to log in after enabling write mode or if the user was able to do it just fine.
