I am trying to work with the latest stable version of NagVis on Nagios XI and I am getting a PHP error and a white screen after install.
Installed Version of NagVis 1.7.10
[error] [client 192.168.35.14] PHP Fatal error: NagVisAutoload(): Failed opening required 'CoreEnv.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php:../../server/core/classes:../../server/core/classes/objects:../../server/core/ext/php-gettext-1.0.9:../../frontend/nagvis-js/classes/') in /usr/local/nagvis/share/server/core/functions/autoload.php on line 39, referer: http://192.168.35.5/nagiosxi/
Any idea on this...thanks.
BTW - Great Nagios Conference!

Re: NagVis Error on Install
I read several times Nagios XI is not compatible with later versions then the standard shipped version 1.5.9.
Later versions use Livestatus, which is not compatible with Nagios XI? (Please confirm Nagios Support)
if there is a solution to make later versions of NagVis work, I'm very interested. As later versions have a zoom function I would really really want, as my maps are too big to fit on some screens.
I made a feature request http://tracker.nagios.com/view.php?id=423 to upgrade NagVis somehow. (in fact this was my first feature request I did) Please plus one it if you agree nagVis needs an upgrade.

This is correct. Updating the NagVis version that comes with XI has been on our TODO list for a while. I don't have an ETA - will have to talk to the developers.Later versions use Livestatus, which is not compatible with Nagios XI? (Please confirm Nagios Support)

Re: NagVis Error on Install
I figured out the error for NagVis, it had to do with mod-security settings. So you can close this.

Can you expand on this for others?mikew wrote:I figured out the error for NagVis, it had to do with mod-security settings. So you can close this.
Re: NagVis Error on Install
Mod-Security is a security filter which monitors the activity of the Nagios server. It stops actions which typically inidcate security attacks. So the problem was solved by adding a security rule.
That said, the problem was solved but Nagvis still has issues connecting to the ndo2db version 2. So that is the next hurdle.
