I'm on pain pills right now, so excuse me if I get dumb
If I modify a host and set both contacts and contactgroups to null and save, if I go back into that host they are set to standard again instead of null. Wasn't this an old bug that was fixed? Did it come back?
Thanks!

Nope....I thought setting to Null was to say no contacts so why would I assign any?!?!?

Bandit, We talked with the developers and they are aware of that problem/ feature. It would appear that the fix would cause useability issues with customers who would later want to add in contacts, or contact groups, and fail to notice the NULL setting.
I've actually reverted the change since I don't think it's necessary anymore. So this should work as expected (null contacts/contact groups with no members set to null will show null) in 2014R2.1+.
