We have a Solaris Zone server (running Solaris 10) and a new Nagios install.
the /opt directory is read only by default on the "local" zones
Do we have to install Nagios on the on the "Global" zone?
Thanks!

Re: Solaris Zones - new Nagios install
Is this for an XI server? If so, it will need to be installed on Centos or a registered RHEL server. If not, I'm going to do some looking into this Solaris Zones server deal, you will definitely want to have read/write for most portions of the main install directory.

Actually, I an only installing the agent & plug-ins on the Solaris box.

We actually have a document and a Solaris 10 installer for NRPE (which I believe is what you're isntalling) and at the very least you could download the tarball to see what we are doing in the installation.
