I see that there is no AIX 7.x NRPE or anything else that works.
Can you please tell me what to use for AIX monitoring at this point?

Have you tried the Nagios Exchange?
Here's some checks that may work:

Is it just NRPE that doesn't work? Have you looked at using check_by_ssh?
