xi boot stuck at "CentOS 6.3" message on lower left of scree

Shut down Nagions to take a snapshot. On restart, now showing a black screen with the solid white progress bar and "CentOS 6.3" in the lower left of the screen. VA running on vSphere 5.1.

Resolved. Somehow the Network VA was not connected in vSphere and the system was hanging trying to mount a remote CIFS share.
