AIX 7 monitoring

Have 25+ AIX 7 servers and cannot get NRPE for AIX 5,6 to work.
Does anybody out there monitor AIX 7.x?
Are there any instructions for using other methods like SNMP, SSH, etc. for monitoring??

This is known to be problematic. You may need to build nrpe from source.

check_by_ssh is fairly popular on the AIX platforms:
