Upgrade Fail NagiosXI 2014R2.2
Hi Team,
I have a problem when I want upgrade XI 2014R2.0 to 2014R2.2.
Install.log say me a problem on /etc/sudoers for create NagiosXI ...
I don't understand because I have no errors.
I send a F5 on my web page Nagios in R2.2 but when I try to change an Alias for example and I apply configuration. I have a error in my .cfg on ghost phantom.
Sorry I forget, I use a template NagiosXI 32Bits 2014R2.0 on virtual machine
King regards
Flo

Re: Upgrade Fail NagiosXI 2014R2.2
I would like to make sure but when you login to NagiosXI, it is running version 2.2?
If so, try going through this process to remove the Ghost problems with the configs.
In XI, browse to the CCM: Configure --> Core Config Manager --> Tools --> Write Config Files.
Click "Write" and then "Verify". You should receive at least one error. The text of the error should be fairly descriptive concerning which object is having issues and what those issues potentially are. If you do not see any descriptive errors, you may have issues with escalations or service/host dependencies. You will most likely want to de-activate these definitions.
Resolve the error in the Core Config Manager (CCM).
Once the detected errors are resolved, re-run the "Write" and "Verify" process from the "Write Config Files" tool. Resolve any further errors in the CCM, repeating the process above as many times as necessary until all config errors are resolved.
Only when the "Verify" process completes without and error should you proceed.
Click "Apply Configuration" - it should complete without error at this point.
If this doesn't work for you, post back the errors.

Re: Upgrade Fail NagiosXI 2014R2.2
Yes TGRIEP,
BUT upgrade is FAIL. Because when I go back on 2014R2.0, I have not any errors in CCM.
And when I update in 2014R2.2 now in 2.3, an older host come back. Then I apply my config I have an error with host (for example toto.cfg)
In CCM I HAVE NOT ANY HOST or Service toto.cfg ...
I have post my install.log for information and I thnik it's not the good end of update.
Several people have same problem.

Re: Upgrade Fail NagiosXI 2014R2.2
Hi,
I have found problem.
I have read script ./upgrade
In this script, he call ./xi-sys.cfg and in this file you can see
# Add new sudoers entries
cat nagiosxi/nagiosxi.sudoers >> /etc/sudoers
When I go in my folder /etc/sudoers.d/ , I found a /etc/sudoers.d/nagiosxi.
I move this file in my /tmp : mv /etc/sudoers.d/nagiosxi /tmp/nagiosxi-sudoers
I apply my upgrade and upgrade is COMPLETED
