Nagios Core Development... Stalled? Dead?

Post by d2inco »

Hi there;

Had been doing some poking around in the GIT repositories over the holiday, and noted that there hasn't been any activity in the GITHUB repositories for Nagios Core in 2+ months...

Just wondering if this is a temporary stall, or if it's been abandoned in favor of development for the closed-source Nagios XI, or .... or what?

Thanks in advance,

Definitely still being worked on. I don't think it will ever be abandoned since many, many people still use it and it is the core engine behind XI. If Core stops improving, XI misses out on those improvements as well. Not sure why commits aren't being pushed publicly, but I do hear a lot of talk about testing and tweaking the scheduler whenever I go to grab coffee.
