Hello,
I didn't see within any of the documentation if the reporting information is able to return any 95th percentile information based on flows. I guess specifically, a way to view the 95th percentile bandwidth used by a src net <block> within reporting tools in NNA.
Any idea if this is available? Doable? Planned?
Thank you,
Jeff
95th Percentile Reporting based on flows?
Re: 95th Percentile Reporting based on flows?
We have had requests for 95th percentile reporting in past, but we have seen multiple interpretations of how to calculate it throughout the industry.
What calculation method would receive your vote?

Re: 95th Percentile Reporting based on flows?
My preference would be... The highest 5% of both the inbound and outbound traffic levels are discarded, and the next highest remaining data sample on either the inbound or outbound is the "95th Percentile" value.
Now, that being said... is this on any radar to be added in the near future?
Thanks,
Jeff

Re: 95th Percentile Reporting based on flows?
Jeff,
I spoke to our main Nagios Network Analyzer developer and it look like this has been looked at for a future addition. We have added it to our list of things to add in the future since we are currently working on adding planned features and some bug fixes that need attention.
I don't want to give this an estimated time, but we would probably revisit this later in the year. We do not have a task created for this, but will add one in the future once the current needed changes are completed.
Thanks
