Hi,
I can't seem to find if Hypermap actually supports this or if we are hitting a bug? Currently the host with multiple parents shows as only connected to one parent.

Hypermap Multiple Parents
Re: Hypermap Multiple Parents
Currently, Hypermap doesn't display more than one parent. You are welcome to post a feature request on our bug tracker if you wish. I am not sure if this is going to be implemented though as it would add to the complexity of the Hypermap to the point it could become totally unreadable. For example, you have a host in the center with several children and a few parents. How would you know which of the connected hosts is a child and which one is a parent? Different lines, perhaps? I could get really messy.

Re: Hypermap Multiple Parents
Hello,
So if multiple parents would be configured, only one is shown in the hypermap. How will it choose the patch to show?

I think it makes a path to the first parent listed in the "parents" setting.

Re: Hypermap Multiple Parents
I believe the above is correct, and if that parent is found to be down, the other will be used in it's place, if they are both down, the parent/child logic will kick in.
Re: Hypermap Multiple Parents
Thanks Sam, This thread can be closed. We won't be posting a feature request, as this would indeed make things too complex.
