Hi all.
Is there a way to exclude hosts from a statusmap? Perhaps by tweaking a template? I thought I saw a way to do it a while back but I haven't been able to find anything on it relating to XI

Re: Exclude hosts from statusmap
I've done some digging, and while it looks like you can move stuff around, I haven't found anything referring to removing services or hosts. I have found a few leads that require recompiling the status map.
I think a reasonable solution would be to setup contactgroups for the hosts you do wish to see on the status map, and login as that contact, that way you will only see those hosts.

That's a good idea. At the moment, I'm trying to get a full network view but I think it will get cleaner as I proceed with the project. As you can see in the attachment, I've managed to get some grouping. The problem is that there are about 110 UPSs and 40 servers with no parent so they just cluster around the nagios process node. That's mostly why I was hoping to be able to exclude/hide hosts.nscott wrote:I think a reasonable solution would be to setup contactgroups for the hosts you do wish to see on the status map, and login as that contact, that way you will only see those hosts.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Nice!
Have you seen the Hyper Map? It does something pretty similar but looks nicer and has some more funcitonality.
