Lately Nagios keeps failing more and more often. When I reboot I will see messages like No space left on device. So I go in an remove a bunch of log files and all is well. This happened yesterday and I removed log files and rebooted. Everything worked OK until this morning. I am having the same issue after only 24 hours. The server shows that it has plenty of space:
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/VolGroup-lv_root
47G 18G 27G 41% /
tmpfs 1.9G 0 1.9G 0% /dev/shm
/dev/xvda1 477M 93M 359M 21% /boot
So what else could be the problem?
Using latest Nagios xi
CentOS release 6.6 (Final) 64 bit
Kernel 2.6.32-504.1.3.el6.x86_64 on an x86_64
Manual Install
Keep running out of space but have plenty

Re: Keep running out of space but have plenty
Do you have automated backups turned on? These can take a quite a but of space in the creation process.
