Nagios QL and NagiosCore

Post by emi65 »

Hi

I know this is not nagioql forum but I hope to get some indication

I'm usign nagios core 3.5 and nagiosQL 3.2 SP2 .

I'm not able to define hostescalation because from NagiosQL interface because
the value 0 are not accepted in the field LastNotificato and Interval Notification .

I attempt to open a thread on nagiosql forum but this seems not used because
doesn't send and email when I define my user accout .

So , here my two questions :
1) some one has experience of my hostescaltion problem and has solved it ?
2) There is another sw to use instead of NagiosQL ?

many thanks

You can try leaving those fields blank - it might default to 0 when creating the configs.

As for other software, we have our own Nagios XI product that does the things QL did, and more:

We have a free 60-day trial if you are interested.

I think it is possible to set it to 0, at least it says so in the info screen.

You should be able to set those values to 0. What is the exact text of the error?

I'm sorry but when I set to 0 the fields
- Last notification
- Notification interval

I got this error (after click to save button):
Database entry failed! Not all necessary data supplied!

Can we presume that you are submitting the new object after all the required fields are filled in? I ask because in your screenshot above, neither first notification nor config name have values. Both of these are required.

It the form submits properly with those values changed from 0 to a value > 0, I would bet it is a bug. Is that the case?
If so, you may have to file a bug with the nagiosql guys, or revert to an earlier version.

Yes the form is exactly what I use .

I attempted to submit this bug in the forum but .... the
site seems .. off ...

No one enable the user to use the forum
The last version of the software nagiosQL since 2012 and
the forum seem unused .

.... perhaps the product is in dismission ?
