Performance Graphs Issue

You rrds have not been updated since January 19th. Do you remember implementing any changes that day?

I am using a ramdisk but didn't know if that would make an impact or not. I read this document - http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... giosXI.pdf and it sounded like some components were optional to place on the ramdisk or is that not true. Considering I made my ramdisk 512MB I didn't want to put the performance data there.

Can you also post the "/usr/local/nagios/etc/pnp/process_perfdata.cfg" and "/usr/local/nagios/etc/pnp/npcd.cfg" file?

Did you intend to move the checkresults to the ramdisk? You have created "/ramdisk/spool/checkresults/" directory but in your nagios.cfg config you have:

Run the following commands and show us the output:

grep ramdisk /etc/init.d/nagios
grep ramdisk /etc/init.d/npcd
grep ramdisk /usr/local/nagiosxi/html/config.inc.php
grep ramdisk /usr/local/nrdp/server/config.inc.php
I've seen many issues with users who only partially implemented RAM disk. I would recommend following ALL of the steps, outlined in this document:

Good to know. Since I didn't want to have everything in ramdisk I have decided to change everything back to original and remove the ramdisk.

I still don't have any performance graphs so with the ramdisk eliminated what would you need to see to assist in troubleshooting this issue now.

Can you run the commands and post the files requested in Ludmil's last post?

Did you change these commands in the CCM back to their original value?

process-host-perfdata-file-bulk
process-service-perfdata-file-bulk

In addition to this:
Can you also post the "/usr/local/nagios/etc/pnp/process_perfdata.cfg" and "/usr/local/nagios/etc/pnp/npcd.cfg" file?
We haven't seen these two configs. If you haven't increased verbosity, please do so - set:

LOG_LEVEL = 2
in "/usr/local/nagios/etc/pnp/process_perfdata.cfg"

and

Code: Select all

log_level = -1
in "/usr/local/nagios/etc/pnp/npcd.cfg", and restart npcd:

service npcd restart
Next, run the following commands and show us the output in code wraps:
