Why I am getting Nagios XI Installer page?

I received the "Nagios XI Installation Complete!" message at the end of my Nagios XI installation. When I accessed the Nagios XI web interface by visiting http://<xi server IP address>/nagiosxi/, I got the Nagios XI Installer page saying "Welcome to the Nagios XI installation. Just answer a few simple questions and you'll be ready to go.". Then there are General Program Settings such as Program URL, Administrator Name, Administrator Email Address, Administrator Password, and Timezone Settings.

I just completed the Nagios XI installation, and expected to get a Nagios XI login page. But why I am getting the Nagios XI Installer page? Is this the final or additional setup before getting the login page? Please tell me what went wrong or what I should do now? Thanks!

Yes, you need to just finalize the install with creating the nagiosadmin account and setting your timezone, etc.

I installed this Nagios XI using a temporary IP address for the reason of getting Internet access. I had asked via this user forum whether I can change the IP address to the one I will eventually use after the installation. I received the answer as yes saying the IP address change would not be an issue, I just needed to "check that the program url is correct in Admin --> Manage System Config". Should I enter the current temporary IP address inthe Program URL field like "http://<xi server IP address>/nagiosxi/" to ensure I can login (or the installation is a success), then change the IP address in Admin-->Manage System Config with the permanent one, and logout, then change the server IP address on the Linux system to use the permanent IP address? Then reboot the system, and enter the program url with the permanent IP address,and expect a login page? What other places I need to make changes? I hope the temporary IP address is written in some other files. Thanks in advance!

The Program URL should not effect your ability to log in/out. Keep it as the temp ip until you change the ip. Change it in the Admin menu when the ip actually changes.

Let me just make sure I get the procedures right:
step 1: The Nagios XI server is on a temporary IP
step 2: enter http://<temporary IP>/nagiosxi on the browser, and login
step 3: go to Admin-Manage System Config and leave the temporary ip in the Program URL field as "http://<temporary IP>/nagiosxi"
step 4: logout the Nagios XI web interface
step 5: change the temporary IP address to use another permanent IP address for the Linux server
step 6: shutdown/reboot the Linux server
step 7: enter http://<permanent IP>/nagiosxi on the browser, and login
step 8: go to Admin-Manage System Config and replace the temporary ip with the permanent IP in the Program URL field to "http://<permananet IP>/nagiosxi" and click "Update Settings". Then logout
step 9: enter http://<permanent IP>/nagiosxi on the browser, and login. Done

Please comment the procedures and let me know if correction is needed. Thanks!
