Backup script?

Post by snapon_admin »

Looking to backup NNA before upgrading to 2R1.0, but I'm not finding any documentation on how to create a backup. I would really like to create a backup before doing the upgrade since this is a fairly major release. How would I go about that?

I don't think there is a backup script for NNA. Is this a VM? If it is, snapshot it or clone it. If it is a physical server, I guess you can try the upgrade in a test environment first. It is pretty safe to run an upgrade but it's better to be careful.

That's what I thought. K, I already sent my VM admin an email to make a snapshot for me since I don't have access to be able to do that. If it's possible sometime in the future to get a backup script like in XI that'd be great since, like I said, I don't have access to create snapshots. For the time being, though, a quick email to our VM admins is fine. Thanks for the info!

No problem! Adding a backup script to NNA is a good idea. I will post an internal feature request. I am locking this topic. Please, start a new thread if you run into any issues with the upgrade.
