Looking to setup alerts for individual servers based on log activity in NLS.
When setting up the alert, can you pass parsed value as the hostname for the alert?
Example:
NRDP alert hostname variable?
NRDP alert hostname variable?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: NRDP alert hostname variable?
What parsed value are you referring to specifically? Something from a logstash filter like a tag or a field?

Re: NRDP alert hostname variable?
Correct. From the log messages I get from this application, I pull out the server name which matches the hostname in NagiosXI.
While I like being able to get alerts from Logserver in XI, I'm building more mature alerts for specific servers. I'd like to send those to NRPD and alert on those servers, not on the Logserver host.

Re: NRDP alert hostname variable?
This is a great idea, however it is not currently supported. I spoke with a developer about this, and he is having us put in a feature request. I will report back with the feature request number once I have it. Thanks for bringing this to light!
Re: NRDP alert hostname variable?
Love the fact that our recommendations make it to product development so quickly.
Thanks!

The feature request number is 5199. I'll lock this thread out for now - in the meantime please keep an eye on the release notes for signs of this feature being implemented. Thanks for your kind words.
