check_esxi_hardware.py
check_esxi_hardware.py
Anyone use this? http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Pl ... py/details Works fine for me except I have to use either an Administrator account or create an account and give it admin rights. This is a no no for me so I am wondering if there is any other way? If I set it to read only it doesn't work

Re: check_esxi_hardware.py
I was using it and pretty exhaustively attempted to make it work without full rights to the box. It just didn't work.
Unfortunate too, the plugin does nice work on "branded" hardware. You can however specify that only your Nagios server (as well as any others you deem necessary) is allowed to connect to port 5989. That was my *best* solution.

Do you have any follow up questions, or can we close this thread?
