I am having the same issue as the NLS user in this topic: http://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtop ... 1&start=20
Please re-open (unlock) so I can get clarification on the changes the user made to correct the issue. I have followed the message trail and the problem seems to be identical to mine.

My fault - Our pesky firewall was blocking UDP between the two vlans. I should have checked that first.
