Look at this.

 -S, --ssl=VERSION
    Connect via SSL. Port defaults to 443. VERSION is optional, and prevents
    auto-negotiation (1 = TLSv1, 2 = SSLv2, 3 = SSLv3).
You sir are good. Adding =3 to the --ssl did the trick....thanks for everyone's input on this thread, it can be locked.

Someone PM me if you'l like the completed documentation I used to do the migration to new box and newer OS.
