I can't or don't know how to get the screen shot here, but using the NRPE monitoring Wizard, The Linux Server Monitoring Wizard, or the Windows Server monitoring wizard
Configuration submitted for processing
Waiting For Configuration verification
Configuration verification failed

Configuration error
An Error occurred while attempting to apply your configuartion to the monitoring engnine. Conctact your Nagios admininistrator if the problem persists

This is the text file of the error. I do want to monitor this host. but it shows up in all the configuration fails. Even for the linux server. How do I clear this and start out clean.

I cleared the configuration problem by clearing services and then. Deleting the host. That is a bit cumbersome because you can't delete more than on service at a time through the gui. Maybe I am missing something there. So I have successfully added two new hosts. The windows server checks fail because of ailing to fetch data with a password problem. I used a command line from the nagiosxi server that included the password (nsclient) and retrieved data for a MEM check. Where do I configure so that all checks include the password. That is the windows server. I'm assuming that is somewhere in the nrpe config? I am getting similar errors on check with the linux sever. Some common checks are not known'. The services fail because I am not getting sleep/ssh handshake

Please note that you can delete more than one service at a time:

You are trying to use nrpe to read nsclient information off of a Windows device.
When you initiate the NRPE command from the command line, it works properly - however when you use the autodiscovery Wizard to set up the Windows device in the GUI, the checks are not working.

Is the above correct? If so, you will need to modify your hosts and services in the GUI to use the 'check_nrpe' command, and fill in the arguments according to how you filled them in in the CLI:

Yes. And yes and I humbly understand. But what about the linux hosts. They are ll critical and I would think they would just work since nrpe is already functioning
