XI Services Showing but cannot find in CCM

I have two services in XI that I cannot find anywhere in CCM to remove them. On two hosts we changed NCPA passive check names from "disk usage" to "disk usage C". The new passive services are working correctly but the old two are not (expected) and I cannot find them in CCM to remove them. We've rebuilt the XI database and imported the two .cfg files for service checks but it did not remedy the issue. Unsure what to try next.

Did you try running the Write Config Tool?

CCM->Write Config Files->Delete->Write->Verify->Apply Configuration

I had not tried that yet. I did just now and the two services in question are still there in XI but not in CCM.

They're not possibly in the /usr/local/nagios/etc/static directory are they?

I checked in te static directory and they are not there. I just did another Windows server remove in CCM and re-add passive services after an NCPA upgrade and the "disk usage" service did the same thing again - it shows in XI but is nowhere to be found in CCM.

What happens if you access the Nagios XI Web GUI and navigate to the service, then press 'Advanced -> Reconfigure this Service'?
If you click 'Advanced' and press 'Show this service in Nagios Core' - does Nagios Core display the same information?
