SNMPWalk Wizard

Post by chipngc_nagios »

Is there detailed documentation on how to use this wizard? I see there is a youtube video on the topic, however I am interested in understand what the values you can put in for the "warning range" and "criticial range" items. For example can you put < or > then some integer? And what the syntax would be for that as the video didn't cover that in depth.

Also is there a way to import a MIB description with it so you can understand all the OID mappings?

I'm unaware of any detailed documentation on the wizard sorry. As for the values for warning and critical they should reflect the standards defined in the plugin guidelines:
https://nagios-plugins.org/doc/guidelin ... HOLDFORMAT

MIBs can be uploaded via Admin > System Extensions > Manage MIBs

I believe if you walk by an object name instead of an OID it *may* appear better ... something I need to learn.
