NagioxI - Standard default Wizard defaults

Post by sharding »

Is there a way I can change the default settings for say the Windows server Wizard, we don't use notifications and to have to go and turn this off every time is a royal pain, so I want to change the default settings so it's off ?

Thanks in advance

When you run the Wizard, click the next button until you get to Step 5, in this screen, you can disable notifications.

With all due respect I don't think you read my issue, I know I can turn it off the point if I shouldn't have to keep doing it every time, I want to set default for wizrd to NO so I don't have to keep doing this, with the amount of wizard runs I do every day it is really annoying

That part of the wizard is handled by the wizard framework, which is an encrypted component of Nagios XI. This has been brought up in the past, but I can make a feature request for the ability to modify these defaults. A hackish workaround is to use something like Greasemonkey scripts to uncheck the box on page load.

I'll +1 that feature request :)

getting that in plus my old one to not force an apply after hitting finish would make my life so much easier!

This is actually a feature request we are well aware of and have some plans in the future to deal with (providing a default wizard configuration management screen in admin most likely). Sit tight!
