We are using:
Nagios XI Version : 2014R2.6
x86_64
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.0 (Maipo)
Gnome is not installed

I cannot say I have tried it myself. We would be happy to help with the Nagios side of things, but if there are bugs/issues with the python script it would be best to contact the author directly via GitHub.
