Hi all,
I've just installed the NagiosXI BPI component and wizard but I'm finding it difficult to create my business processes simply because the examples given are a bit difficult to follow. I'd be grateful if someone could share with me a real working example to help reduce the learning curve. Plus, I downloaded and installed the community business process addons version 0.9.6 and when I click on the newly added links I get a prompt for a username and password. My username and password for NagiosXI both from ndo database and active directory don't work. Qui passa?
I'm on RHEL 5.5 and NagiosXI 2011R1.5.
Thanks
NagiosXI BPI
Re: NagiosXI BPI
Here's the document outlining the logic of Nagios BPI.

Here's a very simple example of how it can be used.

Both Nagios BPI and Business Process Addons are community projects. We're looking at creating an enterprise version of BPI that will have user-level filtering of hosts and services within XI.
The Business Process Addons requires a separate apache authentication, Nagios XI uses session authentication.

Re: NagiosXI BPI
Thanks Mguthrie, for the pointers. I've looked at all the docs you referred me to and seem to have a pretty good idea how to set this up. One issue though is the authentication for the BP View and BP Impact. I've integrated my XI with our company's AD and when i use this login it does not work. I've also tried the nagiosadmin account with similar results, I'm unable to get authorization to view the two addons.
Is there anything special to be done? The doc says just to use an existing XI account.
TIA
