invalid address: root@localhost

I have configured a new user in nagios xi and email notification but when i'm sending send test notification i got the message as test email notification was sent to my mail id but at the top i got the following error

invalid address: root@localhost Invalid address: root@localhost

can you help me in this issue please

There are two places that you have to check in order to make sure that your settings are OK:

Configure->My Account Settings
- Make sure you have a proper e-mail address entered under "Account Information"
- You should have the "Enable Notifications" check box marked under "Notification Preferences"
- You should have the "Email" check box marked under "Notification Methods"

Admin->Manage Email Settings
- Make sure you have all of the proper information under your "General Mail Settings" and "SMTP Settings"

After you take care of these, try sending a test email again.
