Scheduling downtime

Yeah I can try. We have different groups who would be scheduling their own downtime. Would they need to log in as nagiosadmin as well?

OK, just so I get the facts straight before I get other parties involved (I'm going to need to get the nagiosadmin password or have someone else do it).

This is a 10 year old bug that has been showing up from time to time and it looks like I'm having the same issue with it?

I'm unaware of any bugs that cause this behavior - we just need to identify whether there is a global problem with applying commands (something related to broken CGIs or some such) or if it's a permissions issue for your specific user. When I say "it's a 10 year old problem" I don't mean that there is any sort of ongoing issue - it's just a common problem people have, and there is a process to go through to solve it.

So I had our senior guy try both his regular account and the nagiosadmin account and neither are working for him.

Standby, he says he found something... lol

OK he found something on my account that wasn't set properly. He set it, applied it and all seems well.

OK sorry guys so one last question.

for 1 host I have that has 2 services (HTTP, SSH), I can "schedule downtime for all services for a particular host" and that will take care of the host as well? i.e. I don't have to schedule downtime on the actual host?

Just wanna make sure this thing doesn't go screaming on Sunday and have everyone giving me the stinkeye come Monday.
