I've got a centos 6 VM and had installed nagios 3.5 with yum. I uninstalled it and built 4.0.8 from source. It's running nginx along with fcgi and fcgi-php. The main page loads but there's a big red X "Not running" under "Nagio Core". I've googled around a bit and I don't see how to fix this. Also, when clicking on any link on the left like "Host" I get 403 forbidden.
I'm also not seeing much in the nginx error log or nagios error log. If more information is needed please let me know.
Thanks!
Jason

It sounds like the cgis are currently restricted. Can you post your nginx config?
