LDAP Auth and Multi-Tenancy

Post by jvanmeter »

Can I use LDAP to authenticate my users and configure Multi-Tenancy to ensure those specific users have access only to hosts and services they are authorized to view and maintain, or does the user need to be created via the Nagios xi GUI for multi-tenancy to work?

You can use LDAP to authenticate the users but you still need to create them in the Nagios XI interface to set their permissions. Multi-tenancy will work as expected.

The password doesn't need to match - it can be any password as long as the username matches properly. After the account is created, the user will be able to use their current LDAP credentials to log in.
