Nagis3 in Nagios NXE

Hi

im going to integrate the nagios3 with the ,one of the XML (nagios NXE) engines ,(http://nxe.sourceforge.net/index.html). in XML Engine i specified the status log as (/var/cache/nagios3/status.dat) . , But XML engine gives an error, What i want to know is that , Is there any format differences in the status logs in nagios older verison and newer versions.(Eg nagios3 vs nagios1)

I don't know all of the differences, but I would say almost certainly yes
