Dashboard broken after I rename hostgroups

After I renamed one of my hostgroups my dashboard is broken. Is there any way to safely rename hostgroups without breaking any of my existing dashboards?

all my dashboards are based on hostgroups

I was able to recreate this behavior in 2014R2.7. You are welcome to file a bug report (or feature request - now sure what this would be considered) on our public bug tracker here:
