On your XI box you will need to change the 'dont_blame_nrpe=0' setting to 'dont_blame_nrpe=1' to allow for arguments to be passed through properly.

vi /usr/local/nagios/etc/nrpe.cfg

service xinetd restart
Give the above a shot - I have a hunch that it will work for you.

Hi jolson,

I followed your instructions and was able to configure the Nagios XI servers to monitor each others using check_nrpe.

I really appreciate your help and support!
