Permissions Question
Permissions Question
We have different that support applications on different servers. We have configuration question that we can't find an answer to. We have a group of people what we want to be able see all the services on one server. But, we want them to be able to acknowledge notifications on only 1 or 2 of these services. Is this possible?
Re: Permissions Question
Yes, you simply need to create a user for the said group of people. Then set them as the contactgroup for the services you want them to be able to edit. Then go to Admin > Manage Users > Pencil Icon next to users and set their permissions to the ones that are in the included picture.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Permissions Question
Either I'm not understanding your instructions or I'm doing it wrong. When I set the permissions as you indicated, the user is able to see all of the hosts. We only want them to see the one host and the services on that one host.
Re: Permissions Question
lfarns,
Clear the box "Can see all hosts and services", log off, clear your browser's cache and log in as the user you've set up. He/she is supposed to see only the hosts/services that you've assigned to this contact through the Nagios Core Config Manager.

Re: Permissions Question
My apologies, I misread your posting. To my knowledge that is not possible to see all services on host but only be able to acknowledge a select few of them.
