Failure during apply configuration
Failure during apply configuration
When I try to apply configuration I get the error in capture.jpg and when I look in snapshot there is no error file see capture 2.jpg.
If I look in the file that should be in error I see no errors see ANA DB host.cfg in line 96 as the error text in capure.jpg suggest.
The file permission is ok see capture 3.jpg and none of the filesystems are full:

Re: Failure during apply configuration
Did you try the Delete/Write/Verify process under
Configure --> Core Configuration Manager --> Tools --> Write Config Files?
That's where I'd start. It is definitely odd that no error snapshot is being created though.

Hi
No I did the Configure --> Core Configuration Manager --> Apply Configuration.

Re: Failure during apply configuration
Open the offending service for editing under the CCM and verify if the service has a valid servicename, and if it is added to a host, hostgroup or servicegroup.
Run the "Write Config Tool" and show the output in case there are errors:
Configure --> Core Configuration Manager --> Tools --> Write Config Files --> Delete --> Write --> Verify
If you don't see any errors - Apply Configuration.

Re: Failure during apply configuration
Hi,
done Delete --> Write --> Verify and do not see any errors
but getting exactly the same error as before after pressing Apply Configuration...
the only difference I see is that before "delete" all file permissions were -rw-rw-r-- but after "write" it is set to -rw-r--r--
both, host_name and service_description parameters, are defined as well

Re: Failure during apply configuration
Try running a tail command:
Then try to apply configuartion and post the full output of the tail command, that may give us more details.

Re: Failure during apply configuration
That's not great. Did you change any of your sudoers files? I'm not sure how it relates to the error popping up, perhaps not at all. Should be able to track down what's going on in /var/log/secure though.larp wrote:Code: Select all

Re: Failure during apply configuration
Hi,
It was sudoers file and missing Nagios entries. After adding missing lines all works as expected
Thank for help in solving this issue!
