Re: Is is possible to monitor SAP and Oracle
SAP has its own section on the Nagios Exchange.
Oracle does too, but Oracle also has prebuilt monitoring wizards within Nagios XI. In order to use the existing Oracle monitoring wizards you'll have to install the necessary client components yourself, we are unable to distribute them for you. Here are the instructions:

Currently working on the requirement gathering for the same, so it will take sometime.
But quick question before closing..
How good is Nagios in monitoring the transaction logs? Is there any inputs you can provide me please. Thanks..

Nagios can monitor almost everything, provided you are using the right plugin. I didn't see any options for monitoring the transaction logs in the "check_oracle_health" plugin's usage (./check_oracle_health -h).How good is Nagios in monitoring the transaction logs? I would recommend looking for a suitable plugin on the Nagios Exchange.
If you are not able to find one that suits your needs, you can develop a custom plugin (if you had a developer who could do it) by following the Nagios Plugin Development Guidelines.
You could also contact our sales team at [email protected] and request a quote for a custom development.
I am closing this topic. If you have any more questions/issues, please start a new thread. Thanks for the help, you can close this for now.
