Availability report

Post by BanditBBS »

Hey anyone at Nagios :)

I seem to recall someone mentioning the availability report may be getting rewritten since it takes forever to run(20 plus servers in a hostgroup for a quarter can take hours for me)

Am I imagining seeing someone say that or is it being worked on? Because, if not, I'm putting in a feature request to speed that thing up :)

Hey Bandit,

It has been re-worked (along with all the other reports!) to now use AJAX requests. This means you will no longer block the server and will be able to use XI while this runs, say, in another window/tab. I know there were some workarounds before but this seems to help. It won't be much faster than before, however optimization is something that will be worked on more as time goes on. We have plans to look into some ways to get data faster for future releases.
