That was a short test...nothing was happening. In top I could see ndo2db listed and at a low cpu percent like we'd hope, but my XI wasn't being updated at all. I had to put the original ndo2db back in place and restart it to get my XI functioning again

What were the details for the two checks? Do you still have configs or another way to replicate them? A backup or old profile perhaps? Even just the output would be nice.

Look at the last line of the debug_6949_.log in the zip I sent you.

That is the bad check I think, not 100% sure, and I actually think my output from it will be the same, so will probably still cause issue with NDO2DB.

The bigger issue now is my previous post though.

EDIT: Yeah, still crashing/hanging. So if we can get the patch working I can still test

Alrighty then, let's try again :?
Get the original ndo2db.c back and apply this patch. Check if it's draining the queues and adding stuff to the database.

Still no good. The queue is being created and I can see messages going into it and also being removed. However, the numbers in nagios never update(Monitoring Engine check Stats) and fall to zero.

Ok, I really got it this time!

Apply this patch to the original source and try it again.

Testing in PRODUCTION is fun, MKay!

Still not working. Now the messages build up in the queue and never remove. I can see ndo2db running in top and using very very little cpu, but it isn't doing anything this time.

At least I have the process down real good now!

Fooey. Does nagios.log or syslogs say anything?

Oh crap! I sent you the version with the 15 second delay

Try this one. Last one for the day, I promise!

HAHAHA

Ok, so this one may be looking like it is working. Going to make sure it all looks good for a few and then head home. Will let you know after the weekend if no issues arise or before that if it still happens
