Recurring Scheduled Downtime bug

Post by adminfun »

Dear members

I programmed scheduled downtime a while ago for testing purposes and removed it yesterday.
Nagios keeps sending emails of services that have come out of a period of schedules downtime though.
Seems like a bug?
Any other way to remove this?
Thanks!

In your service, on the Alert Settings tab, make sure s isn't checked:
s = send notifications when scheduled downtime starts and ends.
Note: if no options are checked then Nagios will assume that you want notifications to be sent out for all possible states.

Dear Box293

As you can see in the screenshot, the S option is not enabled.
I deleted al the schedules in the Recurring Scheduled Downtime so I don't understand why I still receive e-mails.

This means scheduled downtime notifications (s) will be sent.

The recurring downtime scheduled are created at the 1st minute of every hour. So even though you deleted the recurring schedule, it may have already been scheduled.

When you go to Home > Incident Management > Scheduled Downtime do they still appear here?

Dear Box293

Nothing appears here.
So what you are saying is that I have to wait until tomorrow?

Are you still receiving notifications about services that are no longer in scheduled downtime? Can you show us one of the actual emails? Do you have multiple instances of nagios running?

Code: Select all

ps -ef | grep /bin/nagios
Did you schedule a "fixed" or "flexible" downtime?

Dear members

The "problem" is resolved.
Even though you delete the Recurring downtime schedule, they remain Scheduled for the next Scheduled Downtime.
I just had to wait a day.
My bad...
