name of nagios log server agent process on client.

Post by manny »

Hi all,

installed nagios log server, looks ok then i added a ubuntu client. As shown in my log server set up guides, i used culr command and then ran the set script with given port number. After hitting the command on client i can see it saying that some conf files are created under /etc/rsyslog folder, but i want to see the process, netstat shows established but i couldn't find the process/service.

Can any one tell me ?.

thanks in advance.

If I'm interpreting the question correctly, the agent is rsyslog. rsyslog is how we have you forward your logs to NLS, there is no separate piece of NLS specific software acting as an agent.

Did I misunderstand?
