I'm not going crazy right - scheduling downtime on a hostgroup wasn't in the original schedule downtime page right? And that would be a great feature request for both of those parts!BanditBBS wrote:For my #1 there, on the schedule host and also schedule hostgroup(I pray you add) pages there needs to be a checkbox(checked by default) to also schedule a downtime for all services on host/hostgroup.BanditBBS wrote:Initial issues:
1.) New scheduled downtime screen is awesome, even better than my custom component. However, it needs the ability to schedule hostgroup/servicegroup downtimes as wekk, not just host and service
2.) metrics seem to not work at all
For #2, I'm still trying to find any sort of errors, finding nothing, just blank page on metrics

I can add this as a feature request.WillemDH wrote:About the Birdseye view. It seems the 'hide handled' option is not saved when leaving the page. As we will never want to see the unhandled hosts / services in the Birdseye view, this would imply we would have to click this every time we go to the Birdseye view. Could this option be changed so it is saved on a per user basis?
I've added both of those as feature requests.WillemDH wrote:@Jake,I actually really prefer the look of the stacked version than the overlay and would like to make stacked default since it seems to be more usable overall. However, you guys are the customers and if you think it's confusing to make that one default I can change it back to the overlay as default. I've added the old one back into the drop-down though so that can be selected now.
Let us keep it the way you intended it for some time (with the addition to choose non stacked in the graph option). I'm using the Graph Explorer a lot and will let you know once I have it running in production if making stacked the default works in the long run. If necessary I'll make a fr to enable us to choose ourselves which to set as default.
@Nagios
I agree on this. For my #1 there, on the schedule host and also schedule hostgroup(I pray you add) pages there needs to be a checkbox(checked by default) to also schedule a downtime for all services on host/hostgroup.

No, you're not going crazy, its just the newer Scheduled Downtime page seems much more like my custom component(thats on the exchange and stole code from XI) that does it all...check it out!jomann wrote:I'm not going crazy right - scheduling downtime on a hostgroup wasn't in the original schedule downtime page right? Re: Nagios XI 5 Open Beta - Download Available
Weird, although I deleted 'Nagios XI' from my default homepage title in home page options, my home dashboard still shows Nagios XI on the top left of the dashboard...
One more thing before I go to sleep. When we run a report and export to pdf (I'm not sure if there is the same behavior for other types of export, the name of the pdf is always availibility.pdf
As I have to run multiple reports sometimes, it would be better and more convenient if all the reports were not named exactly the same. Some suggestions:
availibility-host1-YYYYMMdd-HHmmss
availibility-hostgroup-YYYYMMdd-HHmmss
By appending the host / hostgroup and the date we would not have to rename every exported pdf.
And now I'm off to sleep. Thanks all Nagios team for all the work you put in it. Looking forward to install this on my production server and play with the metrics component.

Yeah, I've found that it overwrites an empty string, which is being removed in favor of allowing people to have no page title on their home dashboard. So in the final version setting the home page title to blank will make it blank.WillemDH wrote:Weird, although I deleted 'Nagios XI' from my default homepage title in home page options, my home dashboard still shows Nagios XI on the top left of the dashboard...

I found the issue with metrics. If you have it set in performance to not auto run, it just flat out doesnt work. I disabled that just for testing and it works fine.
Edit: Also, thank you for the "remove details" option.
Also, when adding to a dashboard, the font is a little large

Thanks we actually are fixing the metrics problem right now. As for the dashboard popup - do you have a screenshot? Or do you mean just in general it's all big?BanditBBS wrote:I found the issue with metrics. If you have it set in performance to not auto run, it just flat out doesnt work. Here
The font for the metrics just seems large to me....its actually quite a bit smaller when viewing it within the metrics component and not as a dashlet.
