Just upgraded to XI5R1.0 in Dev.
Upgrade was completed without any issues.
1) Free Variables tab
How do we hide this tab? There is a lot of sensitive information defined in the variables and now all users can see them.
2) Graphing Issue still there
The graph is so tiny that is almost unusable. The legends take most of the graph area.
This is also made worse by the 2 additional Warning & Critical legends in all graphs.
How do we force the graph area to be bigger?
Thanks

Re: XI5R1.0 Issues
I am not sure why this tab showed up on the first place. Our developers are looking into this. I expect that they would be adding an option to show/hide this tab in the web UI.How do we hide this tab? There is a lot of sensitive information defined in the variables and now all users can see them.
Are you having this issue with all of the graphs or some of them? The graph will "shrink" when the "Warning" and "Critical" are used, as it would show the values in relation to the thresholds' values. Can you see the graph better if you add it to a dashboard (and resize it)?The graph is so tiny that is almost unusable. The legends take most of the graph area.

Re: XI5R1.0 Issues
To remove the free variables tab you can go to Admin > Manage Components and click the delete icon next to the Free Variables Tab component, you might want to click the download button first if you ever wanted to re-add it.

This option to see free variable should be available to selected admin users and not for all.lmiltchev wrote:I am not sure why this tab showed up on the first place. Having issue with all graphs that have a lot of parameters.
Adding to dashboard every time we need to view the graph is not something we should be doing.
The graph seems ok if viewed from the services listing of the host (by clicking on the graph icon).
This problem is only in the Performance Tab graphs where it shrinks to become so tiny.
I have been raising this issue for ages now.

Re: XI5R1.0 Issues
It seems ssax got you where you needed to be as far as it not being there for everyone. Do you still want a feature request for this to be limited based upon user rights?rajasegar wrote:This option to see free variable should be available to selected admin users and not for all.
When I click on the graph icon from host/service details I get a fixed size graph. If however I click on the performance tab in the host/service details page I actually get a graph resized based upon the size of my browser window. I'm not sure where you're having a problem, but for me the place it sounds like you're encountering the problem actually resizes dynamically. Maybe you're reaching a maximum graph size and we need to change that upper limit? Can you verify?rajasegar wrote:The graph seems ok if viewed from the services listing of the host (by clicking on the graph icon).

Mine does not resize in the performance tab. What changes are you referring to?jdalrymple wrote:It seems ssax got you where you needed to be as far as it not being there for everyone. Re: XI5R1.0 Issues
Earlier you requested this:
Re: the graph thing, I think it is actually resizing, try to shrink your window very small and refresh the page, I suspect the problem will get much worse. Regardless, I'll put in a feature request to get those graphs to grow even bigger in large windows, or make them resizable inline.

ssax gave you this:rajasegar wrote:This option to see free variable should be available to selected admin users and not for all.
which solved your problem. Do you still want a feature request to cover your original request? ssax's solution will remove the tab for all users, admin or not.ssax wrote:To remove the free variables tab you can go to Admin > Manage Components and click the delete icon next to the Free Variables Tab component, you might want to click the download button first if you ever wanted to re-add it.

Re: XI5R1.0 Issues
Removing the variable tab is fine. The point I was trying to make is that all users should not see this information.jdalrymple wrote:Earlier you requested this:ssax gave you this:rajasegar wrote:This option to see free variable should be available to selected admin users and not for all.which solved your problem. It was just a suggestion to improve the component. Nothing urgent.
On the graph issue, I think the problem is they are trying to fit all the legends in without making it scrollable.
Zooming it will not solve the proportions issue. Anyway thanks for raising a feature request.
