INSTALLATION ERROR! - Nagios XI installation

first of all Thanks for your help and Quick Response hsmith

I used nagiosxi-4-2.6.el6.x86_64.tar.gz, before I installed i ran a script to unistall the nagios please find attached and then did the install.

How bad would it be at this point to attempt this on a clean machine?

Well to try out if installation works or not - I can try it on another server but i have to make it working on this one as well as its hard over here to get the new VM in production environment.

Understandable. Did you reboot after running the uninstall script to make sure there was no 'crud' left hanging?

Did the reboot and run the installation again now getting different error -

cp: cannot create regular file `/usr/local/nagios/etc': No such file or directory

Are you running the fullinstall script from "/tmp/nagiosxi/" directory? Please, post the entire install.log.

and from here i am running ./fullinstall

I do not see any install.log as I was able to see earlier without tar installation.

Can you move the file to /tmp and try it? There have been issues in the past, which are resolved in newer versions, where the script wouldn't work right if it wasn't run from /tmp.

Ok I moved the folder under /tmp and run fullinstall under it it failed with same erorr attached is xi-install.log
