Dear Expert
when we draw a link (Line = Service Status) many times its having two points on our managed two routers , as below
A-End : newyork-7600 , Giga 2/3
B-End : london-7600 , Giga 5/1
Many times we found A-End is UP , UP (physical interface i.e line & protocol both are UP) but other B-End its UP DOWN or DOWN DOWN. If we have enough space on the map, we draw two lines half from A-End (newyork) and half from B-End (london), which will show independently if any of link is UP or DOWN but we face problem when we do not have space and only can draw the link (Service Status) from one end, here you can say A-End, the problem when A-End is UP/UP but B-End is DOWN, on the map its still showing UP as we have draw only from A-End and its UP but in real this link down as either side here B-End is down. So is there any way we can show link status down on either case A-End or B-End is DOWN (ifOperstatus=DOWN).
The same way Service Icon should show red in case of either link (either side) is down.
Regards
line=service status in Nagvis should down on either end down
Re: line=service status in Nagvis should down on either end
I think I understand, but let me make sure. You have two machines connected, and the diagram line between them should be colored green if both are okay, and red if either of them are down. Correct?
Do you have a screenshot to demonstrate what you are trying to change?

Dear tmcdonald
You are absolutely correct.
Now in this picture we showing links status, having enough space so drawing half from Newyord side , half from London side.
But many times we do not have space and drawing the line only from one B-End (London) which will show GREEN while in real scenario its down (cannot ping Point-to-Point IP) and (Line Service Status Icon) should be RED in either side link down (in the picture LON you see its GREEN which is okay but want to show DOWN while checking other side).
You can say multiplication, either figure is zero in A x B multiply the result is zero.
Till Nagios provide any workaround/solution, will add two Service Icons from two sides, our network team will understand but how to make understand our Top Management?

Re: line=service status in Nagvis should down on either end
I'm not seeing a way to accomplish that, it would be something that the Nagvis devs would have to implement, please submit a feature request to the Nagvis devs and hopefully it will get some traction:
